Oreo is the world’s best cookie, favored by millions since 1912. Kids love these chocolate sandwich cookies. So do the adults. It’s a perfect cookie for snacking, traveling or sharing. These cookies are a kosher food and has zero trans fats. They are known as the milk’s favorite cookie because the rich crème filling sandwiched between the strong taste of chocolate wafers when dipped in milk before biting into it, simply feels like heaven. Here we look at some of the easy to make recipes that has Oreo cookies as one of the main ingredients.
Chocolate Oreo Cupcakes
- Chocolate cake mix – 1 packet
- Vegetable oil – 1/2 cup
- Water – 1 1/4 cup
- Cream cheese frosting – 2 tubs
- Chocolate Oreos – 2 dozens
- Eggs – 3 nos
Preheat the oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit.
Make the cake batter by following the instruction given on the box.
Line the cupcake tray with cupcake liner and pour the batter in the liners. Place a Oreo cookie on top. Take care to fill only 1/3rd of each liners.
After placing the cookie, fill the cupcake liner with some more batter.
Bake for 15 -20 minutes.
Allow it to cool for another 30 minutes.
Fill a piping bag with cream cheese frosting and pipe it in a circular motion.
Break the remaining Oreo cookies into half and place on top of the cream frosting.
Oreo Mug Cheesecake
- Cream cheese – 4 tbsp.
- Sour cream – 2 tbsp.
- Granulated sugar – 2.5 tbsp.
- Egg – 1
- Vanilla – 1/4 tsp
- Oreo – 3 nos
Prepare a microwaveable mug by buttering on the sides as well as its bottom.
In a bowl, whisk egg well.
To this add the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, yogurt. Whisk well to form a smooth batter.
Place an Oreo at the bottom of the prepared mug. Pour half of the cheese cake batter over it.
Place another cookie over it and top it with the remaining batter.
Cover the mug using a paper towel and microwave at high for a minute.
Check if the center is cooked and microwave for a minute more.
Cool it a bit and then gently slide the cheese cake onto a plate.
Refrigerate it for 10-15 minutes and serve it with crushed Oreo.
No-Bake Oreo Bars
- Oreo – 1 packet
- Marshmallows – 1 packet
- Butter – 4 tbsp.
Line a baking pan with aluminum foil.
Crush the Oreo cookies into crumbs.
In a microwaveable bowl, melt marshmallows and butter for around 2 minutes.
The marshmallows will fluff up while the butter melts. To this add the crushed Oreo and using a spoon mix well.
Pour it into the lined bake tin and using a fork or spoon, press the mixture.
Cool the bars for 10-20 minutes and then cut it into bars.
